Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress. Her leading role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. After the end of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, with English heritage. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover meal times.
